The portable 1AC II non-contact voltage tester from Fluke is easy to use – just touch the tip to a terminal strip, outlet, or supply cord. When the tip glows red and the unit beeps, you know there's voltage present. This tool is the perfect non-contact voltage tester for electricians, maintenance, service, safety personnel, and homeowners. They can quickly test for energized circuits in the workplace or at home and even detect miswires of an electrical outlet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fluke man from Great product for no contact voltage detection Love the fluke noncontact voltage detector the only problem I had with it was turning the beeper on but after I figured it out it works the best I bought my first one and it was for low voltage so it was to sensitive for what I do so I bought this one it does 90 to 1000 volts ac I would buy again if I needed another one

I spent many years in factories and industrial settings of all kinds dealing with machinery. The tester is well designed and you know when you are around electricity with visual and audible alarms. Having been zapped a fair number of times, I always reach for my Fluke even when I know the circuit is "not active."
