Ruska pressure calibration

Ruska pressure calibration is part of Fluke Calibration

Ruska has been a leading global manufacturer of pressure calibration instrumentation since 1944. Now, as part of Fluke Calibration, Ruska continues to offer highly accurate primary pressure standards, transfer standards, and air data test sets. Every Ruska instrument undergoes a battery of tests to make sure it meets or exceeds its performance parameters. An accredited calibration report comes with every instrument.

How Ruska products fit within the Fluke Calibration pressure calibration product line

Ruska instruments complement pressure calibration products from the former DH Instruments and Pressurements brands. Ruska pressure calibrators make world-class performance more accessible to companies that otherwise could not afford it or would not have the expertise to achieve it. Ruska manufacturers the quartz bourdon tube pressure sensor, the most accurate pressure sensor in the world, and it’s only available in Ruska products.

Deadweight testers
Ruska makes using deadweight testers as easy to use as possible. In the old days somebody had to be a trained metrologist with many years of experience to realize 10 ppm from a pressure measurement. Today with the right software tools primary standards have become much more accessible than they used to be. In addition, features like the autoflow controller on the Ruska 2465 help to minimize operator time while reducing complexity through automation.

Pressure controller/calibrators
What really makes Ruska pressure controller/calibrators stand out is the quartz bourdon tube reference sensors. They are much easier to linearize than other quartz reference sensors and that is one reason they are the most accurate in the world.

Other than the technology inside them another thing that makes Ruska products stand out is their design. For example, the Ruska 7252 is two controllers in one, so if you are concerned about space - instead of two boxes side by side to cover a wide range of pressures you have one instrument that takes up less rack space.

Piston gauges
Ruska piston gauges are like fine wine. They just get better with age. Piston gauges last a very long time when treated properly. Many have been in service for over 20 years. Ruska piston gauges are usually calibrated every few years, and over a period of time uncertainties may be reduced because past performance data may be included in the uncertainty analysis.

Ruska piston gauges are as compact as possible with all the features and functions the operator needs. For example, the Ruska 2485 hydraulic piston gauge is self-contained within a single instrument to minimize the required bench space. You don’t need a lot of tubes; you just plug it into the wall and it works.

Air data test sets
Ruska has provided high precision air data test sets to the aerospace industry for more than 30 years. These have been used on a variety of aircraft including fixed wing, rotary, and even the space shuttle. Ruska Air Data Test Sets are used for calibrating a wide variety of avionics instrumentation that rely on accurate control and measurement of pressure including altimeters, airspeed indicators, and engine-based control systems.
