The Fluke 315 mA 1000 V fuse is designed to limit the amount of oxygen available for combustion and the length of time the energy is applied.
This 1000 V fuse is sand-filled to absorb the shock energy created by the current overload. The and will also help absorb the high temperatures (up to 10,000 °F) generated.
