Product overview: Fluke 52 II Dual Probe Digital Thermometer
The Fluke 52 II dual-input digital thermometer delivers fast response with laboratory accuracy (0.05% + 0.3°C). You can use the 52 II to measure two contact temperature inputs simultaneously on motors, insulation, breakers, pipes, corroded connections, liquids, and wires with industrial standard J, K, T, or E-type thermocouple temperature sensors. The user friendly-front panel and large, backlit display make it easy to view results from both inputs in multiple ways. And the sleep mode feature preserves battery life to give you a typical thousand hours of operation.
Other useful features:
- Easy-to-access battery door that allows replacing the battery without breaking the calibration seal
- Comes with splash- and dust-resistant case protected by an impact-absorbing holster and a three-year warranty
- Powered by three, standard AA batteries -30-
- Features an electronic offset function that compensates for thermocouple errors to maximize overall accuracy
- Measures J, K, T, and E-type thermocouples
- Handles temperatures up to 900°C (1600°F)
- Presents results in °C, °F, or Kelvin (K)
- Provides a user-friendly front panel that is easy to set up and operate
- Offers sleep mode to increase battery life; 1000-hour battery life typical
- Offers optional ToolPak accessory to hang the thermometer from any metal object (with the rare earth magnet) or secure around a pipe (with hook-and-loop straps) for hands-free operation

what is the repeatability of the measurement
Repeatability is defined by the accuracy specifications. Each time you take a measurement you calculate the accuracy based on the specifications. The repeatability of that measurement can vary depending on the temperature probe you use or the environmental conditions. Fluke does not define the characteristics of the Fluke-52-II based on the term repeatability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DSinnovator from 52 II for all my accurate temperature measurements My needs were simple - accurate inlet and outlet temperature measurements for HVAC and solar water heat. The dual thermocouple with clamp accessories is perfect. (I actually bought a second 52-II so I could measure ambient temp concurrently.) Very pleased with the accuracy, reliability, and ruggedness of this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rick from Fast Response and Accurate I use my Fluke 52 Thermometer for HVAC and Home diagnostics. It has a fast response time so when I go from room to room I don't have to wait long to get an accurate measurement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rickrack78 from Works well if used gently We purchased this a few years ago and have had some problems with the the sockets working intermittently. It is used in a lab setting and is not moved much from its spot on the test bench.

Rated 1 out of 5 by trademan from not so reliable I used this a total of 6 times over the course of 6 years it still reads but only in Celsius the setup button, c,f,k, buttons don't work. Now Fluke wants me to spend 212 dollars plus shipping to "fix and calibrate". I DON'T THINK SO I"ll buy a different brand. I always bought Fluke but probably not any more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Stan from Flakey connectors - very unreliable We have about four of these and the TC connections are poorly designed. Very loose with only one side touching the metal prong of the connector. The field techs hate these thermometers. I hope there is a fix on the way for this problem. Fluke is a good company and we use other products that work very well.
