PRESS RELEASE : Fluke Connect™ wins Electronic Products 2014 Product of the Year Award

EVERETT, Wash., March 10, 2015 — The Fluke Connect™ system was picked by the editors of Electronic Products magazine to receive a 2014 Product of the Year Award. Chosen from thousands of products introduced last year, the selection of Product of the Year winners is based on “a significant advance in technology or its application, innovation in design, or gain in price/performance.”

This is the sixth honor for Fluke Connect since its launch in May 2014.

“Fluke Connect was chosen as a Product of the Year because it demonstrated a high level of innovation in using the most advanced technology to solve a practical problem for technical work groups, and thus delivers a costhttp://content.fluke.com/comx/fluke-connect/EN/IEEN/index.htmlme saving system that truly benefits all of its users,” said Richard Comerford, editor of Electronic Products.

The Fluke Connect™ system allows technicians to wirelessly transmit measurement data from their test tools to their smart phones for secure storage on the cloud and universal team access from the field. Having access to maintenance records at the inspection site enables better, faster decision making and real time collaboration between team members.

More than 20 Fluke Connect enabled tools connect wirelessly with the app, including digital multimeters, infrared cameras, insulation testers, process meters, and specific voltage, current and temperature models. Tools may be purchased separately or in preconfigured kits, like the 3000 FC Industrial System.

Fluke Connect includes:

  • EquipmentLog™ — enables technicians and managers to get all of their measurement data in one place to get the complete asset story. EquipmentLog history allows technicians to assign measurements to specific equipment, creating a cloud-based history of all test measurement data (e.g. electrical, temperature) for easy access during both troubleshooting and reliability maintenance.
  • AutoRecord™ — automatically records measurements and infrared images to secure Fluke Cloud™ storage from wherever they’re working, without writing anything down. All authorized members on the team with a smart phone and the app can see the data.
  • ShareLive™ video calls — enables technicians to share measurements and collaborate with other team members in real time, get approvals for repairs, or get questions answered without leaving the field.

The Fluke Connect™ app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
