To Fluke Calibration’s 5790A owners:
Today Fluke is notifying you that the extended repair support period for the 5790A is ending December 31, 2020, due to severe parts availability limitations. This date is well beyond the five years of extended support Fluke Calibration offers after discontinuing a product’s manufacture (End of Life). Please see the table below for the full lifecycle of the products.

Fluke will no longer provide the repair support through Fluke Calibration or its authorized service organizations. Fluke will continue to provide calibration services for these devices. In the event a device sent in for calibration requires repair service will engage you to discuss your options.
As an improved alternative and direct replacement, the Fluke 5790B is available with the same great performance as you expect from the 5790A. The new model adds a host of valuable features including direct current readout from current shunts, an easily navigable touch screen interface and other improvements including specifications for DC, non-sinusoidal signals and increased measuring bandwidth to 50 MHz. In remote control mode, the 5790B responds identically to the 5790A command set, and in fact with version 8 (or higher) MET/CAL, works seamlessly with MET/CAL calibration procedures developed for the 5790A.
