Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
Producer obligations:
The provisions of the Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE Directive) have been implemented in UK by the Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013 (WEEE Regulations 2013).
According to the WEEE Regulations 2013 producers of EEE are obliged to register with the national WEEE producers register. Fluke UK Ltd. places Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) onto the UK market. Therefore, Fluke UK Ltd. has registered with the register for WEEE. The official EEE producer registration number is WEE/JG0115XU.
Additionally, Fluke UK Ltd. is member of the WEEE producer compliance scheme "B2B Compliance”. For further information, please see www.b2bcompliance.org.uk.
The compliance scheme takes on a producer’s legal obligations and proceeds the data submission to the Authorities. Furthermore, the compliance scheme organizes collection of WEEE and guarantees recycling by an approved treatment facility. In order to finance the collection and recycling, producers have to pay compliance fees calculated on the volumes of EEE they place onto the market.
Information for take-back and recycling
Generally, EEE products have to be labelled with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol. This is to show the end user that the item has to be disposed separately from other types of waste in order to ensure environmentally sound treatment and recycling. In general, the take back and recycling is free of charge for the end-user.
Equipment that can be used in private households as well as in professional context (dual-use)
These devices can be disposed for free in public collection points.
Equipment that is designed for professional use only (B2B)
B2B WEEE cannot be disposed at public collection points. Instead, a professional waste carrier will collect the B2B device that came to end-of-life. In order to request a free collection of your B2B WEEE, please contact Fluke.
Please note: Before you dispose your end-of-life equipment, please
- Remove batteries, if possible (Please see recycling information for Batteries below.)
- Delete any data, if applicable

Information for take-back and recycling
Some products of Fluke contain portable batteries. As the batteries are not allowed to be disposed together with other waste, they are labelled with the crossed out wheeled bin.
Generally, portable batteries can be disposed for free in public recycling centres or battery collection points located in supermarkets and local shops. Additionally, they can be collected at the site of the end-user and picked up by a professional waste carrier. In case you would like to order a collection container or require a take-back, please contact Fluke. The collection is free of charge.
